Our medical practice is seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our Counseling Department. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to grow clinically, work alongside experienced providers, and make a meaningful impact in pain management, addiction medicine, and behavioral health.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Treatment Planning:
  • Conduct patient assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews to strengthen clinical judgment.

Therapeutic Interventions:
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions if applicable.
  • Learn and apply modalities suited for medically complex patients.

Patient Education:
  • Educate patients and families on pain management, addiction recovery, and behavioral health resources.
  • Support patients in building healthy coping skills and long-term wellness.

Case Management & Care Coordination:
  • Work closely with physicians, LPCs, nurses, and external agencies.
  • Assist with referrals, continuity of care, and treatment plan updates.
  • Strengthen your care‑coordination skills in a supportive environment.

Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Receive training on legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Learn best practices for medical‑necessity documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Current South Carolina LISW license (or eligibility upon graduation).
  • MSW from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with structured support.
  • Empathy, professionalism, and a desire to grow clinically.
